Mental Health in Sport - personal work

It’s been four years of research to find a way of making this relevant project that hasn’t been exploded creatively, that well, in the media. Now more than ever there are increasing numbers of high profile sportsmen and women who suffer from a mental health illness. Combined with my love of sport and the values it encompasses, I wanted this project to delve deeper and to understand what each individual goes through, in this highly personal and individual illness.

Clarke Carlisle kindly agreed to join me in the studio to collaborate in making a portrait that could attempt to visually represent how it might look and feel to have a reoccurring, mental health illness.
